Security Standards
We understand the need for privacy and security when it comes to online software and transactions. Although Erudite Systems cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality of data transmitted over the public internet, we encrypt all data transmissions between your computer and our data center using the strongest-available, industry-standard protocols.
Encryption and SSL
The encryption process—which scrambles your data into a form that only your browser and our web server can understand—is an effective way to achieve data security.
Encryption significantly reduces the possibility of unauthorized users intercepting and reading your account or transaction information. Our secure socket layer (SSL)
provides 128-bit encryption on all data transmitted between Web Cliento software and its users.
Usernames and Passwords
Anyone who accesses Web Cliento must have a valid username and password to do so. This information serves as your key to unlocking customer data that you manage with our online software.
If you give your username and password to anyone else, do so knowing that they will be able to exploit any of your CRM data at will. Be vigilant in guarding your login information!
Password Security
At registration, we require passwords of at least five characters. However, the best passwords are eight or more characters in length, with variations in capitalization and at least
one number (such as 'Ilike2goFishing'). Never use obvious information like pets, spouses, birth dates, or part of your username as a password.
Browser Control
As an additional security measure, our online CRM software can only run in a special browser window. You may find the lack of an address bar or status bar irritating, but by hiding
the navigation information of our software, we can better protect its inner workings from intruders.
Security Is A Collaborative Effort
You play an important role in protecting your security. Above all, maintain the secrecy of your username and password. Never tell anyone your password or write it down in a place where it could be associated with your username. If you think that someone else may have access to your login information, please contact us immediately. You can make
additional efforts at maintaining security by always logging out of the software and closing your browser window when finished using Web Cliento.
