Online Collaboration Features Added to Web Cliento It's now possible for multiple users to share customer data in Web Cliento, the online CRM software solution by Erudite Systems. Users who register for Web Cliento receive a "master" account with a unique ID to which all customer data is tied. New functionality permits the owners of these master accounts to add users that will share the customer data. Each user will have a unique username, password, and e-mail address. However, the master account and any users created through it will be able to share contacts, events, leads, and accounts. This means that members of a sales team or other groups of colleagues can each have unique login information, but view and modify the same CRM data. The capability for multiple users is another milestone in the road towards better online CRM. "Collaboration is a critical part of our CRM solution," said Dan Koboldt, president of Erudite Systems. "This new feature allows real-time sharing of customer data no matter where the users are located." Koboldt cautioned that the master/added user distinction is a new feature and should be tested accordingly. Erudite Systems developers hope to gather feedback about the collaboration system and expand it. Enhanced tracking that ties added-users to the events or contacts that they've modified, for example, might help teams work better together.
