usability enhancements to the web based customer management solution.
Usability and Interface Enhancements
Usability is the theme of most improvements, since many users had requested that addition of contact telephone
numbers and e-mail addresses be streamlined. The contact management tool allows browsing of contacts and
companies, while a vastly improved calendar feature makes planning and recording customer events a snap. The
user management and subscription interfaces have also been enhanced.
Prioritized To-Do List
A highly anticipated addition is the to-do list, which allows Web Cliento users to record tasks
related to customer relationship management. To-do items can be prioritized to ensure that the most important
tasks are completed first. Best of all, to-do list items can be shared between team members as part of
the collaborative CRM package.
SSL and Security Upgrades
Several security upgrades were implemented to better protect Web Cliento users and their customer data. The most
obvious addition is a dedicated secure socket layer (SSL), which uses 128-bit encryption to scramble data shared
between the CRM software and its users. In addition, certain browser commands have been locked down to discourage
tampering.
