Lead/Opportunity Tracking
Leads (also called "opportunities") are the customers with whom you're trying to do business. If you want to use CRM software to drive and coordinate sales, visit the
opportunities section of Web Cliento.
View Your Existing Opportunities
Access your leads by clicking the "Opportunities" button at the top of Web Cliento. You'll see a list of all leads that you have entered, along with the date of creation
and status for each. Clicking on a lead will bring up more detailed information, such as contacts or events associated with that particular lead.
Adding A New Opportunity
In general, you should have some contacts and/or organizations saved in your address book before adding a lead. To do the latter, click the "Add" button on the
default Leads page. You must fill out a brief form, where you will assign a description and initial status to the lead. When you click "Create" you will be taken
to the lead information screen, which displays the create date, status, and description of a lead along with its contacts, organizations, and events.
Associating Contacts, Organizations, and Events
Lead tracking becomes most useful in Web Cliento when you associate your contacts and events with a certain opportunity. Not only will this help you find contact names and other
information quickly, but it also helps the analysis tools guide you toward better customer service.
Opportunity Status
The status of a lead is important for organizing your CRM data in Web Cliento. As your list of leads grows, you may find that filtering and sorting it by status will
make it easier to find the information that you need.
