Poker Mate - Stats Calculator for Party Poker
Poker Mate is an online poker calculator for tracking player statistics in real-time. Using the log files created by Party Poker or Empire Poker, Poker Mate
analyzes the game history at your current table and provides you with several key pieces of information:
|
Call Rate (flop_pct)
The flop_pct calculation tells you how often players pay to see the flop - which gives insight into how tight or loose they are. These stats exclude players when
they're on the blind, because they can often see the flop for free. You want to know how many hands they're willing to throw in some chips to play. Note that
the flop_pct statistics are much more accurate after you've played several hands against an opponent. Keep an eye on your own call rate as well; remember that
tight, aggressive play is usually the path to profit.

Pre-flop Raises (pf_rz)
One of the most annoying kinds of opponents in online poker is the guy who constantly raises pre-flop. It's hard to tell if he's getting lucky with cards, or simply
trying to bully the rest of the table. That's why our poker calculator determines the probability of a pre-flop raise for each player. These player stats are based on
what percentage of hands the players raised pre-flop. The annoying guy will have a very high pf_rz, probably 80% or more. However, when you face a raise from a tight
opponent who rarely raises pre-flop, it might be time to fold!
How's their stack (net)
Poker is a very psychological game, and most players tend to be affected by how much they've won or lost in a game. A well-known manifestation of this psychology is
someone going "on tilt", meaning they hit a point of financial loss where all self-control goes out the window. Conversely, an opponent sitting on some winnings is likely
to play with confidence. To help you identify such scenarios, Poker Mate's calculator keeps track of each opponent's net win/loss from the moment they (or you) join the
table. This also offers an excellent way to keep track of your own wins or losses in a game. Another about player stacks:
in most Party Poker games there's a maximum buy-in to prevent players with big bankrolls from bullying everyone.
Thus, when you see a player with two or more times the buy-in, that's an opponent to watch out for.
