We developed
Gene of the Day,
a gadget for iGoogle that displays genotype-phenotype correlations from OMIM. We mined the OMIM data to create custom databases
of genes associated with addiction, autoimmune disease, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, hearing and vision-related disorders, immunity, and neurological
disorders. On the lighter side, we also maintain a database of "Family traits" such as hair color, eye color, handedness, and other phenotypes that pass
from parents to children.
